Why Sozo?

Are you having difficulty with your walk with God; not hearing, seeing and sensing Him clearly? Do you feel that some kind of wall is keeping you from your breakthrough? Are you struggling with other relationships in your life? Have you spent time & energy in trying to overcome issues in your life, but with no success?

Then this is the ministry for you.

How Sozo works

A Sozo session is a time for the Sozo team to walk you through the process of gaining freedom and wholeness with the help of the Holy Spirit. A ministry session typically lasts up to two hours.

Appointments for personal ministry can be made by downloading the application form below, and either emailing it to the Sozo ministry team at sozo@citychurchworcester.org, or posting it to the church office, addressed to Bethel Sozo Worcester. Alternatively, please contact the church office for an application form. On receipt of your completed application form, the Sozo administrator will arrange a convenient time for your ministry.

For the value of time spent ministering to you there is a suggested donation of £20 to £35; however, don’t let the money put you off: we never turn away applicants who are not in a position to make a donation.

Testimonies

My first Sozo was 10 years ago and significant for a number of reasons. It was the first time I confidently heard God speak, and not assume it to be my own imagination.

I didn’t go in with anything specific that I wanted to talk to God about or knew I needed healing from. I just wanted to set time aside for the Lord to minister to me through the Spirit. The two ladies that facilitated the session made me feel at ease and helped me to listen to the Father.

After what felt like a long time of speaking with and waiting on the Father, not confident of a response, I decided to just start sharing the first thing that popped in to my mind, however silly it sounded.

It was quickly clear that each picture held part of my story or something of His character. Moments from my past were coming to mind. I asked God why and what he was doing. Through the Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit, God was taking me back to past situations, stepping in and telling me where He was in that moment. He kindly and gently took me back to situations that I didn’t think had any significance but helped me to see it from His perspective and not my own, and definitely not through the lens of the enemy’s lies.

The spirit shone a light on lies that were tangled in to my own thinking. He showed me the truth. He revealed to me what or who had hurt me and told my heart that he was with me, healed my heart and helped me to forgive people and move forward in Christ’s strength. I cried and laughed and left the room knowing a little more that I was cared for and protected and God loved ministering to me.

10 years later I have regular Sozos, thankful that God enjoys speaking to us, healing us and showing us his truth, not that of the world that we so easily walk along with. He wants us free and who the Son sets free is free indeed.

Encountering God’s voice through Sozo appointments has been incredibly powerful for me over the past ten years. The process of listening to Father, Son, and Holy Spirit has enhanced my prayer life considerably, teaching me to look at the root of an issue rather than just the symptoms I am experiencing.

Asking God questions in a safe, relaxed, caring environment and hearing His answers have impacted me in a way that unlocks negative thought patterns, painful memories, and grief. In exchange for these, I have received healing, freedom, comfort, and love. At times there have been words given that echoed the cry of my heart that only God would have known.

I thoroughly recommend Sozo for ANYONE: we ALL benefit from any time spent listening to God.
